This Research Review E-Learning Module is intended for New Zealand GPs. It is based on talks given at GPCME 2019 by Dr Chris Atkinson, Radiation Oncologist at St Georges Cancer Care Centre in Christchurch and Dr Paul Dawkins, Respiratory Physician, Middlemore Hospital, Auckland.

Topics covered include epidemiology, risk factors, screening and treatment for lung cancer, and current hot topics in the management of lung cancer, asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis and idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.

Expert commentary is provided by Dr Chris Atkinson, Radiation Oncologist at St Georges Cancer Care Centre in Christchurch and Dr Paul Dawkins, Respiratory Physician at Middlemore Hospital, Auckland.

Module questions have been developed by Dr Chris Tofield who works part time in General Practice in Tauranga, New Zealand, is involved in clinical research and is a clinical advisor to the Bay of Plenty District Health Board.

This E-Learning Module is based on presentations given at GPCME Rotorua (2019) as part of the Lung Foundation Lung Health Plenary Session.  The content of this E-Learning Module is entirely independent and based on published studies and the speakers opinions.  Creation of this module has been supported by an educational grant from MSD.
