Ruritan National Youth Camp Adult Chaperone Training

Chaperones are required to participate in training in specific areas prior to their arrival to the Youth Camp at the W. E. Skelton 4-H Educational Conference Center.  This is required to ensure all chaperones meet minimum guidelines for the safe supervision of youth during the Youth Leadership Conference.

This dynamic course will prepare you to put your best foot forward as a chaperone at the Youth Camp this year. You may go at your own pace, but please remember that you must complete the training by June 1 of each year that you are a chaperone at Youth Camp. Your completion and scores will be submitted to the National Office at that time.

To navigate this course, be sure to scroll down on each topic page. This will grant you access to course content, pictures, and videos.
There will be a short quiz at the end of each section or series of sections. You will have 2 attempts at each quiz; a passing score is 80%. Your cumulative score for the course determines your readiness for camp.

If you have any questions, please feel free to use the "contact teacher" form and we will get back to you as quickly as possible. Thanks, and enjoy becoming an amazing role model!
