This Research Review E-Learning Module is intended for New Zealand GPs and outlines a solution-focussed approach to medical weight management.  It aims to provide practical knowledge on how to approach weight management, with several individual cases provided as examples of the various approaches.

This E-Learning Module is based on a talk given by endocrinologist Dr Ole Schmiedel at GPCME Rotorua in June 2019.

Contributing experts

The podcast is presented by Auckland-based endocrinologist Dr Ole Schmiedel who has particular interests in type 2 diabetes, obesity and medical weight management.

Module questions have been developed by Dr Chris Tofieldwho works in primary care skin cancer treatment, is clinical advisor at Bay of Plenty District Health Board, and consultant to Research Review.
